Northwest Welding Works

Help wanted (sometimes)

Work here

We’re a small welding shop. That means you’ll weld on a little of everything, you’ll know everyone by name, and nobody hides behind a job title.

Who we hire

We hire for these roles as work requires — send your CV and we'll reach out when there's a fit.

Shop welder

Confident with MIG and stick on mild steel, able to read a tape and a simple drawing, and comfortable fitting your own work. TIG on aluminum is a plus.

Mobile rig welder

Field repair experience, a clean driving record, and the judgment to work alone at a customer’s place. You’ll talk to customers as much as you weld.

Fabrication helper

Cutting, grinding, prep, material handling and keeping the shop running. Good path into welding if you want it.

Apprentice welder

Some welding school or hobby experience and a real interest in getting better. We’ll put a hood on you and teach.

What it’s like

  • Mostly day shift. Field calls sometimes run late.
  • Every job is different, which is the good part and the hard part.
  • Proper PPE, ventilation and fire watch aren’t optional here.
  • You’ll be expected to say so when a repair isn’t safe to do.
  • A weld test in the shop is part of how we hire welders.
